About
A focused legal-tech company, not a feature factory.
Firmbinder builds software that makes the evidence behind a legal matter defensible, organized, and usable — for the professionals who do the work and for the people representing themselves.
Why we exist
Most legal disputes don't turn on a clever argument. They turn on whether the facts — the texts, the photos, the dates, the documents — can be found, trusted, and put in front of a decision-maker in order. That work is tedious, high-stakes, and badly served by the tools most people reach for: a word processor at midnight, or an enterprise platform priced for a large firm.
Firmbinder was started to close that gap. Our products take the raw material of a case and turn it into a record that holds up: chronological, integrity-hashed, authenticated, and exhibit-ready. We build the hard parts once — the evidence engine, the security posture, the integrity standards — and deliver them through brands tuned to who's using them.
Built from real cases
Every Firmbinder product starts from a real problem someone actually faced in a courtroom, then gets generalized — not the other way around. The first tools were built under deadline, for a real, high-stakes case, because nothing affordable did the job. They worked. Generalizing them into software others could rely on is the company.
What we build
CourtBriefly is the professional platform — the litigation evidence engine for paralegals, attorneys, and self-represented litigants, across family, civil, eviction, small-claims, and contract matters.
Custody Commander is the consumer-facing front door for parents navigating family court alone — the same engine, with a guided experience, a real free tier, and a hardship program.
How we operate
Evidentiary integrity comes first; if something can't survive an objection, we don't ship it. Privacy and safety are defaults, not settings, because our users are often in the hardest moments of their lives. And access matters: real free tiers, one-time options, and hardship programs are part of the product, because justice shouldn't hinge on a five-figure retainer.
Not legal advice
Firmbinder builds software. Its products are not law firms and do not provide legal advice; they organize and authenticate the evidence you provide. For advice about your situation, consult a licensed attorney.
